VALERIE PRESTON-DUNLOP
Dr. Valerie Preston-Dunlop, biographer of Rudolf laban, is a practical scholar working internationally, currently Honorary Fellow of Trinity Laban, the leading conservatoire for the training of professional dance theatre artists. Dr. Preston-Dunlop pioneered the development of choreological studies. She received her initial training from Rudolf Laban, Lisa Ullman, Kurt Jooss and Albrecht Knust. Her current research interests are sacred geometry in human movement, recover and re-create the works of the twenties of Laban.
ALISON CURTIS-JONES
Alison Curtis-Jones, Artistic Director of Summit Dance Theatre, is an internationally recognised dance artist and leading exponent of Rudolf Laban’s Dance Theatre work (1913-1928). Ali is a specialist in Choreology and teaches on the Dance Faculty at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London.
Ali’s re-creations include Laban’s Nacht (1927), in London 2010, 2011 and 2014 and with Summit Dance Theatre for Laban Event in Ascona, Switzerland, 2013, Green Clowns (Die Grunen Clowns, 1928) with Transitions Dance Company for The Laban International Conference: The Dynamic Body in Space, 2009, with Trinity Laban dancers in 2008 and commissioned to re-create Green Clowns in 2014, to commemorate the centenary of World War One and the Auschwitz Memorial in the UK, 2015.
The Swiss Office of Culture awarded in 2014 the project to re-create two Laban works and Summit Dance Theatre will perform re-creations of Laban’s Ishtar’s Journey into Hades(1913) and Dancing Drumstick(1913) in Monte Verita, in October 2015.

Nunzia Tirelli practical choreologist, “Special Diploma Choreological Studies”, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London. Dance Movement Therapist (Art Therapy Italiana). CMA (Certified Movement Analysis), LIMS, New York. In 2013 she promoted and organized the historical LABAN EVENT in Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland. In 2014 the Federal Office of Culture, awarded the project "The Dancing Drumstick and Ishtar's Journey into Hades” the prize for “Cultural Dance Heritage in Switzerland” in collaboration with Dr. Valerie Preston-Dunlop and Ali Curtis-Jones.
OLI NEWMAN
Oli Newman is a composer and pianist based in London UK. Originally trained as a dancer and choreographer Oli has had a lifelong interest in dance. He has written and played music for, amongst others, Rambert Dance Company, Martha Graham Company, Jonathan Goddard, Lauren Cuthbertson, Gary Lambert, Lizzi Kew Ross, Transitions Dance Company, Tamara McLorg. Oli has written music for the feature films 'Thoughtful Geezer' and more recently 'The Glass Man' starring Andy Nyman and Neve Campbell, which premiered in August 2011.
JAMES KEANE
Trained at Trinity College of Music. He has composed for theatre, dance, TV, animation and the concert hall and has conducted music for opera, concerts, TV, films, and CDs. As a performer he has worked with Deborah Warner (LIFT), Tom Morris (NT, BAC), Struan Leslie (NT, WNO), Melly Still (Lyric Hammersmith), Johnathan Stone (Purcell Room and touring), Julian Crouch, Lizzi Kew-Ross (Laban), Simon Fisher Turner and as a conductor/orchestrator/instrumentalist with The Clod Ensemble, The Cholmondeleys and Featherstonehaughs, Welsh National Opera, Ballet Rambert, Hofesh Shechter and composers Murray Gold (BBC, C4), John Browne (ROH), Paul Clark (NT) and bands The Jazz Cigarettes (live karaoke), The Blue Dogs and Heist (supporting The Fall).James was a founder member of the London Guitar Trio, premiering over 20 new works. He has taught at Trinity College of Music, Central School Of Speech And Drama, Universities of Chichester and Portsmouth and for seven years was associate lecturer in Theatre Improvisation at University College Winchester. He plays piano, percussion and iPad for contemporary class and ballet at Laban, University of Surrey, University College Chichester, Adventures in Motion Pictures, Lost Dog and Ballet Rambert.
GIONA BELTRAMETTI
Giona Beltrametti is a dipl. fed. SSAA cinematographer that works as an editor for the swiss Italian television (RSI), he won with the production house “gnamgnam Prodotti” a Silver Award from “The Gourmet Media World Festival” in 2005 under the Documentary Section in Cannes, France and a Gold Award at “Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards” in 2007 under “TV Segments” in Adelaide, Australia. For the third year running he edits a short video clip for the Swiss Television (SRG SSR) called “24 Hour Highlights” that is shown every evening in Piazza Grande during the Locarno Film Festival and on RSI LA1.
